Stichting rosetta.

about

Stichting rosetta. (a Dutch foundation) is the development platform for female and gender non-conforming music producers in the Netherlands. We coach, inspire and guide v/x producers to the next step in their musical development. Through courses, summerschools, masterclasses, panels, demo pitches, events, community meet-ups and Producer Camps, we support producers at every level: from beatmakers to mixing engineers, from R&B to indie, from beginners to advanced producers.

rosetta. was founded in 2020 out of our own experience as producers: we were missing representation, role models and a community. Since then, rosetta. has grown into a broad network of v/x producers. We work from our own vision and methodology on music production: an inclusive vision in which we believe everyone can be a visionary producer. We consider the development of technical, artistic and personal skills equally important.

rosetta. was founded by Eva van Manen and Josephine Zwaan, and is now led by Conchitta Bottse and Eva van Manen. Since 8 April 2026, we are Stichting rosetta., statutorily based in Rotterdam. We work closely with various partners in the music industry and the creative sector.

On this page you can read who we are, what our purpose is and how we are organized.

Purpose of Stichting rosetta.

rosetta. is committed to increasing the number of female and gender non-conforming music producers in the Dutch and international music industry. We work from an inclusive vision of music production, in which different musical, cultural and societal backgrounds exist alongside each other and strengthen one another.

We contribute to diversity and equality within the music industry — particularly behind the scenes and in the studio — and to the representation of diverse perspectives in (pop) culture. We document and share our methodology, among other things through community events such as meet-ups, teaching materials, research and the rosetta. industry branch.

Remuneration policy

Members of the Board of Stichting rosetta. do not receive attendance fees for their board activities. Expenses incurred can be reimbursed on the basis of supporting documentation, as set out in the articles of association. Management and the operational team are compensated for their work on a project basis, from the foundation's project budget.

Staff

Stichting rosetta. has no staff in permanent employment. Services are engaged on a freelance basis. In determining Fair Pay, we distinguish between:

  1. Teachers, coaches and other arts & culture services
For freelance teachers, coaches and production support, we use the Handreiking Uurtarieven voor Zelfstandigen in Cultuureducatie en Amateurkunst (LKCA) — the Dutch guideline on hourly rates for self-employed professionals in arts education and amateur arts — as a benchmark.

  2. Performing artists during rosetta. events
For artists performing at our events, we apply at least the Sena rate, set annually by the Dutch rights organisation Sena.

Transparency

We ensure transparency of our remuneration policy by publishing it on this website. In addition, the Board reports in the annual report on the organisation's remuneration policy, on remuneration itself, and on the duration of contracts with the Board and Management, as set out in the Governance Code Cultuur (the Dutch governance code for the cultural sector). As Stichting rosetta. has existed since April 2026, no annual report is yet available; once one exists, it will be published on this website.

For the full articles of association of the foundation, or any other questions, please send us a message and we will provide you with the information you need.

Evaluation

The remuneration policy is evaluated annually by the Board and Management.
