Start your music production journey with rosetta.

If there is one thing that we're excited about, it's getting more female and gender-nonconforming people to experience the joys of music production. Our basics courses focus on creating a space for learning, exchange and a community of likeminded individuals.

The 'Producing Beats' course teaches those with zero to little experience how to work with a DAW and produce your own tracks in only five weeks. It also helps vocalists, songwriters and musicians to gain more autonomy in your creative process.

Our Mission
instructor: babs
Babs.jpeg

She is a rapper, producer and songwriter on a mission. Babs cannot be put in a box, and is not afraid to kick against the stereotypes about gender and sexuality that are imposed by society. In her lyrics she raps openly about her own feelings and behaviour, encourages herself and others to show some guts and puts society to the test. As a female producer and rapper, she playfully tries to counteract a male-dominated scene. Her music is a combination of fast, dominant trap or dance drums, melodic rap and unpredictable, funky, rhythmic chords with a happy pop flavor, where the story is key. She plays with language but remains straightforward. Her goal is to use this music to add color to the black and white thinking of society!

“Because we listened so attentively to music, my hearing has sharpened.”

Starting in a DAW can be intimidating because there are so many possibilities. It's so cool to notice when you start to understand the interface and develop your own toolkit. Because we listened so attentively to music, my hearing has sharpened. I also have a broader knowledge of production now, which helps me produce more intentionally.
